News and information coming soon..... |
This is the home of the Cone Ridge Software Open Source Project Black-Box Persistence The purpose of the project is to create a robust, easy to use Object - Relational Persistence Layer Framework for Java projects. The purpose of which is to remove as much unecessary hand written JDBC SQL for all the basic CRUD functions as possible. This includes automatic handling of polymorphic objects, associations, the ability to load proxy objects and cursors. The software design of this project is based on Scott Amblers "Persistence Layer Design". Database agnostic, the primary focus for development will be supporting MS SQL Server and hsql (HypersonicSQL). The state of this project is considered pre-alpha, the source code will be released soon. Currently left to implement is 'many' association map, handling polymorhism, cursors and caching. Actually thats not too much to go on the back end side. I am looking for people to actually use this software for their own benefit and maybe provide some improvements. Maybe even someone would like to write a front end for defining the mappings! :-) I started this (sub)project as part of another larger commercial project, so it will be finished one way or another, this is just my chance to give back something to the open source community (for a change)... Let me know if you are interested in participating or just interested in downloading... Regards, Pete. (newsboy@rad.co.nz) PS; Here is the license I will use for this project View License |
